Accessibility Statement
This statement applies to the https://trooth.co website, including the signed-in workspace, the public company pages on the Trooth Network, and the badge that a company can embed on its own site.
1. Our commitment
Trooth, LLC is committed to ensuring our services are accessible to people with disabilities. We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. We do not claim conformance: no independent accessibility audit has been performed and no VPAT or Accessibility Conformance Report exists. This accessibility statement forms an integral part of our Terms of Service: https://trooth.co/terms.
2. Accessibility features
You should be able to:
- Zoom in up to 200% without loss of information or functionality
- Navigate the website with just a keyboard
- Listen to the website using a screen reader
- Stop moving images
- Access semantic HTML structure with descriptive heading hierarchy, ARIA landmarks, and alt text on informational images
3. Compatibility with assistive technology
Our website is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:
- Mobile Accessibility Features: AssistiveTouch (iOS)
- Motor Assistance: Sticky Keys
- Screen Magnification: Zoom (macOS/iOS)
- Screen Readers: NVDA (Windows)
4. Conformance status
Status: Built to WCAG 2.1 Level AA and gate-checked in continuous integration. Not independently audited, and therefore not claimed as conformant.
The most recent internal review was on 3 September 2026. It was a code review against this standard, performed by the team that builds the product, not an independent evaluation. For more information, see the sections on how we test and on non-accessible content.
5. Non-accessible content
Below is a description of known limitations we are working to address.
1. Content a company provides about itself. A company that has claimed its page supplies its own logo, description, and the documents it chooses to share with a buyer under NDA. That material may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We ask companies to provide accessible content and we publish guidance, but we cannot guarantee the accessibility of material a third party wrote.
2. Exports and downloadable files. Files generated from the witnessed record, such as PDF exports and CSV downloads, are produced programmatically and may not include full PDF/UA tagging, reading order, or alternative text on every visual element. Plain-text and structured-data alternatives are available on request via legal@trooth.co.
3. Data visualizations. Sparklines, timelines of what changed between reads, and similar visual elements may not be fully equivalent for users of screen readers or other assistive technologies. The four facts a page publishes (how many checks passed out of how many ran, when the record was last read, how long it has been unbroken, and what changed) are also published as text on the same page, and the underlying data is available in tabular form through our API and on request via legal@trooth.co.
We are actively working to address these issues as part of an ongoing programme to improve accessibility.
6. Trooth-specific accessibility commitments and alternative format requests
1. Alternative formats. Trooth is committed to providing equivalent access to information for users with disabilities. Any page, export, badge, or other Trooth output that is not fully accessible in its primary published format may be requested in an alternative format by contacting legal@trooth.co. Trooth will use reasonable efforts to provide accessible alternatives (including plain-text transcripts, structured-data exports, or human-readable narrative summaries) within fifteen (15) business days of a request whose sender we have confirmed, at no additional cost to the requesting user.
2. EU Accessibility Act (EAA) alignment. For users accessing Trooth Services from the European Union, Trooth aims to align with the European Accessibility Act (Directive 2019/882) and harmonized standard EN 301 549. Users in the EU may submit accessibility-related complaints or enforcement inquiries via legal@trooth.co or to their national EAA enforcement authority.
3. AI-assisted content. Where Trooth Services use artificial intelligence to generate, summarize, or surface content, Trooth commits to (a) providing semantic, screen-reader-compatible representations of AI outputs wherever technically feasible, (b) offering plain-text or structured-data alternatives to visual data displays on request, and (c) avoiding AI-driven design patterns (such as motion-heavy or rapidly-changing visualizations) that present known accessibility barriers without an accessible alternative.
4. Continuous improvement. Trooth maintains an internal accessibility roadmap, prioritizes accessibility fixes alongside security and stability issues, and welcomes feedback from users with disabilities. Reports of accessibility barriers may be submitted to legal@trooth.co or via the in-product feedback mechanism, and will be acknowledged within five (5) business days.
7. Preparation of this statement
This statement was prepared on 02 June 2026 and last revised on 4 September 2026. It is reviewed annually and whenever a significant service change lands. It describes what Trooth actually does; where a control is not yet in place, this statement says so rather than describing an intention.
We maintain records of accessibility feedback and our responses for regulatory compliance.
8. How we test
We evaluate accessibility using:
- Internal self-assessment against WCAG 2.1 Level AA, performed by the team that builds the product
- Ongoing review when a surface changes
- Automated checks in our continuous-integration pipeline that block a release: colour contrast across every theme token pair, the type scale, and a static accessibility gate covering focus rings, zoom restrictions, image alternatives, elements hidden from assistive technology while still reachable by keyboard, and click targets a mouse can use but a keyboard cannot. These are source-level checks and they do not cover focus order, reading order or anything that depends on layout.
- Manual keyboard navigation review of the sign-in, onboarding and Network flows, and semantic HTML and ARIA review during code review
9. Feedback and contact information

Revised September 4, 2026: descriptions of retired features (composite figure, plan tiers, TruePass badge, Verified Inquiries) removed; the document now describes the witness record as published. The statement no longer refers to a mobile application, because Trooth does not distribute one, and the list of known limitations now names the outputs the product actually produces. No commitment was narrowed.
